Five days after Cindy's oldest son Casey arrived in Iraq, he was killed in an ambush. Now she wants answers to some really basic questions, starting with this: For what "noble cause" are we sending thousands of young Americans to their grave in Iraq and Afghanistan? In a calm unwavering voice Cindy says, "there is no noble cause."

Having lost her son, Cindy has dedicated herself to the mission of not just ending this war, but to addressing the underlying causes that lead us—as individuals and as a society—to accept violence and war as a solutions to our problems. Cindy Sheehan says "another way is possible."

When she camped outside President Bush's Crawford, Texas, home in the summer of 2005 to demand that the President come out and talk with her about the war, she not only succeeded in putting the war back into national debate, she started the Camp Casey antiwar movement. That President Bush never came out to meet her comments on our collective situation. Cindy is on a long, determined mission that's just getting started.
